"Make Education a Priority" is a statement based on the belief that an attitude of "Priority" is vital if we are to protect the value and pursuit for quality public education. 

In 2006, Texas Legislation implemented a school finance system that has proven to fall short of properly working.  The 2007, 2009 and 2011 legislative sessions failed to address the funding system's shortcomings.  The 83rd Legislative Session in 2013 is fast approaching.  Unfortunate yet necessary, equity and adequacy issues are now at the center of litigation.

A sense of "priority" and responsibility must be shared between educators, the public, and our legislative leaders.  
Respectfully working together, we can find responsible solutions.
